THE SCRAMBLED BLOG
Hi,
My name is Tracy Deakin, I live in Fife with my dog Yogi and one of my favorite things is to pick, catch or collect something I am about to eat. So as food is a subject connected with most books I choose to read & ingredients being something that I tend to look at quite closely I decided to start this blog to share what I find with others who are interested and hopefully to get comments back that will teach me something else new & something to get my teeth into.
Have you ever had (scrambled brain) about food labeling? Do you know where your food comes from & what has gone on (behind the scenes) for that food to be produced and to become available for your consumption. I have always had a passion for food & look back on my childhood days remembering the mud & the ugly & fun shaped vegetables that were bought from the local shops for us to eat.
Here I intend to write about different foods, how to grow & cook, medicinal properties, food in art & fashion and ways food is used in different ceremonies around the world.
I much prefer to eat a meal using items that I have picked or caught myself, be it nettles for soup, muscles from the beach or a mackerel from a line & given the chance I will try pretty much anything that I have not tried before.
I hope this blog will encourage me to search harder for foods that are growing wild, and to keep me checking that what I buy is ethically & fairly sourced.
Bon Appetite
Tracy

Great blog. Really nice to see a holistic approach to food and life. Being in the field of nutritional medicine I do not often get the opportunity to express a truly natural way of life on people. Good for you and Yogi.
Thank you for your very nice comment David.
